Group photograph of people wearing matching white T-shirts with red and black designs, gathered outdoors under a pavilion with red balloons hanging from the ceiling. Some children hold balloons and toys, and a small framed photo is placed on the ground in front. It appears to be a community or family event.

What Is Team Nathaniel?

Learn More About Our Mission

A young boy with brown hair, smiling with his eyes partially closed, wearing a red Old Navy Athletics t-shirt, standing in front of a white brick wall.

Team Nathaniel is a nonprofit created in honor of nine-year-old cancer patient, Nathaniel Contreras, who did not survive his battle with Osteosarcoma.

We honor Nathaniel’s legacy by supporting other families with children affected by childhood cancer. We know that they are faced with very few available treatment options, so we assist them by providing the means to get them into a trial if they are eligible, or help with living expenses, while simultaneously raising awareness for pediatric cancer.

Team Nathaniel supports families by helping to fund their child’s medical trial, travel expenses leading to a trial, medication needs, or basic living expenses - whatever will ease the burden for families so they can focus on their child.

We strive to build one hero at a time.
